Watchmaking / A. Lange & Söhne

lange-sohneEach Lange clockwork reflects over 165 years of heritage of Saxon craftsmanship. The company’s history is imbued with typical features that turn A. Lange & Söhne watches into unique masterpieces. At A. Lange & Söhne, every part of the clockwork is decorated with its exclusive finishing technique, whether visible or not through the sapphire crystal of the watch. Moreover, since the finishing touches are applied by hand, Lange finishers personally sign each clock. All clockworks in an A. Lange & Söhne watch are calibrated and finished inside the factory. To a large extent, these operations must be performed manually, since the human hand is still more sensitive and versatile than any mechanical instrument will ever be.
